During an appearance on Jay Shetty's "On Purpose" podcast, Joe Jonas spoke candidly about his marriage and detailed how a "rocky phase" in their relationship caused him to break things off with his then-fiancee Sophie Turner. "She was understanding and that blew my mind... and I panicked and got back with her right away," he told Shetty. The "Not Alone" singer admitted it was "the dumbest decision" and praised his wife for being so forgiving. "We've gone through so many heavy things together as a couple and as individuals and to know you have that support no matter what is just amazing," he continued.
Jonas noted that their breakup was short-lived and didn't last too long. However, it did open his eyes to how much Turner loved him. "Realizing this person loves me so they're willing to put aside their stuff for me, and I'm like how could I ever lose that? It's really special," the singer added. The couple is in a much better place today and are enjoying life as parents. According to People, Jonas and Turner gave birth to their daughter Willa in 2020 and welcomed another baby girl in July.
"Genuinely, being a dad rules and I'm a kid at heart," the former Disney Channel star told ET. "It's going well."
